At the Feet of Apostles

This weekend, or rather, Sunday, we had the very rare and amazing opportunity to have President Packer, Elder Cosse (sp?), and Elder Marriott speak in a special meeting to our stake. It was a wonderful opportunity and Mike and I are still not completely sure as to the purpose but it was great! Mike went up with our good friend Sean at about 8:00 to get a good seat in the chapel-it didn't start until 10:00. We had wanted a side pew but apparently 7:15 was the time to be there. However, we couldn't have gotten better seats! We were in the second row! To be so close to men who lead us and teach us was amazing. How grateful we were to hear their words, both the very humorous ones and the guiding ones. The Lord does choose His leaders and they do teach by the spirit and we are so blessed to be part of the true church and to be able to sit at the feet of apostles!

A rare moment captured after-I couldn't be more proud and grateful for two of the greatest blessings in my life...the first is behind the lens!

That's such a cute pic of you guys! That's so cool...President Packer is one of our favs! Of course, they are all our favs too! :) That's a neat experience! I remember when President Uchdorf came to Columbia (before he was in the First Presidency of course) and kept making cute faces at Matt Reall (Mike & Katie's oldest) who was only about 1 1/2 years old at the time. It was so neat to be so close to him and get to see that other side of him.
