So Goes Life in an Economic Recession...

Well, life has been good and kind to our family and still continues to be so. However, we hit a little rough spot yesterday and could too-as well as many others, use some prayers. Mike's job and all who worked there had been put on mandatory 40 hours a week a little bit ago but as of yesterday is now at mandatory 36 hours a week. This is a bummer as that cuts 16 hours a month not to mention the year frame. So...what do you do? Pray, look for a new job, do something from home-as the wife, and hope and have faith. May God bless all those who are struggling through this time and may He know of our gratitude to still have employment and to be okay-just a bit tight. :) We are healthy and happy and know that through this we will become more reliant on the Lord and stronger.

Life has been so crazy, but it was so nice to forget what I was supposed to be doing and catch up on what everyone else is doing. We will keep your family in our prayers. Everything has a reason, but sometimes it is super hard to figure out what the reason is.

1) Ask someone who lived through the Great Depression for advice. You will think you are rich!

2) Start enjoying "Poor Man Soup".

Hang in there! These things are always so tough but amazing to see how the Lord will help. Just keep pay'n your tithing, Heavenly Father will make it all work out somehow. Sometimes the best blessings come in the ugliest packages! You guys are in our prayers!! :)

Hopefully, the difference won't be as bad as you think it will be. At Casey's work they are closing the office 4 extra days this year and cut everyone's salary accordingly. But their were some tax changes that took place shortly after and his take home pay on his last check was actually more than it was before the salary cuts. We love you guys!
