We FINALLY got to go to the beach this past weekend through yesterday and we had a BLAST!!! We went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and stayed in a beach house of a family's in our ward. We went with our best friends ever-the Walkers and Diane's sister Sherise. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the water any warmer! It was amazing! Mike and I got to watch the sunrise Tuesday morning and it was such a beautiful site! Thank you to Sherise who was a lot like a Nanny. She watched the kids when we got in the water together, when us and the Walker's went out for a little date, and so Mike and I could see the sunrise. THANKS GIRL! The kids were great and it was a WONDERFUL trip! Now for LOTS of pics-I had to do collages or they wouldn't have fit! :) (Click on the collage to enlarge)Maddie's first walk in the water!

Sand fun! This is pretty much all Maddie did was dig in the sand. Patrick wanted to run in the water, EAT the sand and chase the birds! :)
The kids LOVE their Daddy and hounded HIM most of the time-I don't think he minded too much though-we were looking for sea shells this morning. Nate took a nice nap later on too.
Sherise and the Walkers! Sherise got her foot STUCK pretty good-it was funny watching her get it out. Nate, reading his gossip mag-one of my fav. pics-too funny! Diane-chillin like a villain!
Patrick wiped out on Monday-our longest day at the beach, it was very cute. He loved climbing on all the beach chairs and getting his hands on whatever he could find. Maddie got buried and thought it was pretty cool. They both liked to throw sand on Daddy-it was funny to the rest of us! :)

Thank you Nate, Diane and Sherise for helping us make such a wonderful memory and for putting up with us-I am sure there were moments you didn't think you could. We had a wonderful time and hope you did too! We love you guys!

OBX? I love the outer banks. When we went we found a dead 3 foot shark on the beach one morning and then matt and I were freaked out when we got in the water. We also saw several schools of dolphins.

OHHH! Don't you just love beach vacations? They are the best. We are glad you guys had such a fun time and the kids looked like they loved it. I love the pics of you and Maddie you guys are BEAUTIFUL GIRLS:)
