While in Liberty, MO for the funeral of Mike's Grandpa, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to go to the brand new temple there. The special thing about it though was that it was still open to the public as an open house, meaning that ANYONE could go in and take a tour of it. This only happens occasionally, as there are only 100 and some-odd temples in the world. They open the doors of new temples and let anyone in for a tour before it is dedicated and then only worthy members, with recommends, can go in-after it's dedication. It was an amazing experience to be able to go in as a whole family and see the beauty and feel the peace of this holy place. We are so excited for our family and for the people of that area to have a temple so close!
