What a Weekend

It was just wonderful to have a 3-day weekend with Mike this weekend. We had a great one too! Well, as a few might know, it wasn't THAT great for me. So, I thought I was going to have a baby this weekend! Sounds crazy, I know, but...it was reality...err, kind of. Friday was bad and so I was nervous for Mike to go to the temple on Saturday but amazingly I was great the whole time he was gone, not a single contraction. However, literally, 5 minutes after he walked in the door it all started. Needless to say I told him he needed to go back to the temple! :D It was a long evening with preparation in case the baby came. Then, I slept like a baby! It was really nice to get a good nights sleep-haven't had that in quite some time! So we got ready for church and I felt great throughout church until the last 30 minutes or so and it was upon me again! Got home, was sick and contracting and then...another fabulous night of sleep! I will gladly take the good sleep and bad days any day! Monday, I have not felt so good in such a long time-it felt like I was about 22 weeks or so, really I was feeling on top of the world! So, we made another adventure to the Zoo, trying to help things along since we thought our little guy was trying to make his entrance into the world. Nothing-not a contraction or anything. We went home, took a nap, had dinner and then off to Sunday Park to get Mom out walking and for our FHE. Slept great again last night and then headed to the Doctor this morning. I really tried not to get my hopes up because I knew if I did I would only be disappointed and possibly cry! Well...it was good of me not to get them up! Not dilated at all and I felt quite foolish. However, I didn't feel as foolish as I would have had I gone to the hospital over the weekend-thankfully! All in all, yes, I am quite disappointed considering the weekend but I am glad because we need to move next week and my mother-in-law already bought her ticket for the 19th of June-she's knows what things went like for Maddie-there really is no need to come before then! So, while I am glad that we can get on with things for the move and not worry about the grand entrance of our little boy, I am still saddened at the news of my progress! So, woe is me! One positive note is that I didn't even gain a half pound this time! That makes only a whole pound weight gain in a month and a half!!! Woo-hoo! I am pathetic to be so excited about that I realize, but had to find something exciting about today!
With all this being said, I am so glad to have some more one on one time with our big girl before the baby comes. She had some set backs with potty training last week but then turned around and is doing even better now than before. She is starting to talk a lot better and more clearly and is making us laugh even more than before-which we didn't think was possible! We are so grateful for her and love her so much and are so proud of the little girl she is becoming!

Crazy hair!

Mmm, such a yummy apple!

Too cute to pass up!

Hi Mom!

Sounds all too familiar, I feel for you, literally! It wasn't that long ago I was doing the same thing, hoping wishing, and not dilating! Unfortunatley we did go to the hospital and spent all night walking the halls watching contraction after contraction but no baby, we had to turn around and go home the next morning. Real bummer!
