The Fun Things in Life

Our little man had cereal for the first time last night! He seemed to like it pretty well, not a lot of spitting out just a lot of, "What in the world is this stuff" look. He was so cute and I was just amazed to realize that he was this big already and ready for it. My nephew-who is 3 days younger-started it last week I think and I was saying how I didn't think Patrick was ready but then all the sudden he wasn't seeming as satisfied and so we tried. And he did like a pro! So much for Mommy thinking she knows so much! :D
Here is Maddie finishing the oatmeal off...gross! When feeding the little man I was saying, "Mmm, Patrick isn't that yummy?!" and Maddie proceeds to say, "Mmmm. Ma-ie bite, Ma-ie bite." Mom: "Oh, Maddie this yucky, eww." Maddie: Gives Mom the crazy look-you just told him it is good. Mom: Ok, it is yucky though. Maddie proceeds by doing that ugh face and forcing it down. Mom: It's yucky isn't it?" Maddie: "No." Mom: "Is it yummy?" Maddie: "Yes. Ma-ie bite, Ma-ie bite?" She proceeds to have 2 more bites until Patrick was for sure done then finished off the last 2 bited and then scraped the bowl to the best of her ability. Nasty!
Maddie got her hair cut for the first time! Well, trimmed but still! It was not easy cutting curly hair not to mention an almost 2 year old with curly hair...it took a long time! She had quite the mullet working and the ends were starting to get stringy and we couldn't take it anymore so Sunday morning, snip snip. I was sad but luckily she still has her curls! She's growin up.
