as of today

I shared some weeks ago that I had started WW and that I would give an occasional update.
Well, I started April 8, but my tracking (because I wasn't so intelligent) started the 6th (so I didn't track for the first 2 days that I was apparently on it, but anyway).
As of today (official weigh in day) I have lost
5.4 lbs!!!
So about a lb or so a week!
I really am so excited!
That may not seem like much to anyone else but, seriously, I could not get the scale to move or my clothes to fit so this is a BIG accomplishment. And I am finally starting to fit back into some of my clothes!
That was one of my main reasons for wanting to do this, I really had nothing to wear and it was either spend a lot of money on clothes that I could wear, or spend a little money (really, it was't that much) on WW for 3 months and be able to wear all the clothes that I already have.
So, happy dance here this morning and glad that I can eat ice cream everyday and lose weight (and sometimes more than once a day!).
I do like the "program". It hasn't been easy to meet all my points-I have to eat A LOT! But, I love that it is food that we eat and fix anyway. I love that I have o eat so many fruits and veggies a day (this is the hard part) and that I HAVE to drink water (I am not so good at getting my fluids on my own and never have been). I am so much more aware and I like that...and I have to be accountable by logging all of it. I know it doesn't work for some and the new Points Plus some people don't like but,
it's working for me and while I do wish it was working a little faster, I am so glad it is working at all!

Yay! Good for you Shannon! Isn't it crazy how focusing on your own health makes everything so much better? Love it!

I started 3 weeks ago, after I realized I wasn't running as many miles as I was, and mysteriously all the Easter candy was already gone??? Hmmm.
